Personal profile

Overview

My initial training is in social anthropology, specialised in Latin American anthropology, with experience in both social research and teaching. My particular research interests lie in processes of urban transformation and their expressions of resistance and change in urban livelihoods.

My PhD project focuses on understanding how community, neighbourhood and class experiences are reshaped in the context of the urban vertical growth. Methodologically, I spent a year conducting fieldwork in Santiago de Chile, settling in an area of high density and diversity with a high degree of high-rise construction.
