I am a Research Associate in the Brain Inflammation Group. I use a variety of experimental models—including mice, zebrafish larvae, and in vitro systems—to investigate disease mechanisms associated with intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH), a form of stroke caused by the rupture of blood vessels in the brain. My research focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular processes that drive disease progression. Broadly, my interests include:
Risk factors contributing to ICH
Neuroinflammatory responses following ICH
Neuroprotective mechanisms in the context of ICH
Experimental disease modelling in mice and zebrafish
Molecular biology techniques
Cell biology, with a focus on macrophages, microglia, and brain endothelial cells
