Personal profile
Overview
I am a postgraduate researcher in Architecture at the University of Manchester. My research focuses on daylighting analysis and design for older people with sight loss, based on which I construct a VR daylighting assessment system and complete a daylighting guide to homes for older people with sight loss through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Before pursuing my PhD at the University of Manchester, I worked as a full-time research assistant at the XR Lab - UC Berkeley and participated in research and design projects related to the study of VR environments, urban building energy modeling, and daylighting analysis. Wentao earned his Master of Advanced Architectural Design Degree from UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design (2022), a Master of Science in Architecture Degree from Syracuse University, School of Architecture (2020), and a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Central Academy of Fine Arts (2019).
