Overview

Xiaowei Dong is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the University of Manchester (UoM), supervised by Prof. Joao Quariguasi Frota Neto and Prof. Antony Potter. His current research focuses on product returns, repair, and remanufacturing within supply chains. One of his PhD studies has been published in the International Journal of Operations & Production Management (ABS 4).

Prior to his PhD, he received the Master’s degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from the University of Warwick, after which he joined Lenovo Group, where he worked on supply chain planning for product repair and refurbishment.

In addition to his doctoral research, Xiaowei serves as a teaching assistant for supply chain-related modules and acts as a second marker for BSc student dissertations and vivas at UoM.
