Xinchun is a pharmacist who gained her BSc in pharmaceutical science at Sun Yat-Sen University and later gained her master degree in clinical pharmacy from Peking University. In the master’s programme, she was trained as a clinical pharmacist and rotated in seven clinical departments in Peking University Third Hospital. In addition, she conducted a cost-effectiveness analysis comparing liraglutide and insulin glargine for patients with type 2 diabetes in China; and evaluated the efficacy and safety of exenatide (a subcutaneous injection for type 2 diabetes) in China.
Since she joined the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry in 2018, she has studied pharmacoepidemiology of gabapentinoids in patients with chronic non-cancer pain.
