Personal profile
Overview
I started my PhD program at CHSTM in October 2022. Before turning to the history of meteorology, I studied environmental history in modern China. I am interested in investigating knowledge and idea changes from cultural and social perspectives.
My dissertation explores the meteorological knowledge transformation in China from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century, with an emphasis on the lingering vitality of traditional weather knowledge in modern China. It is contextualized in the unprecedented intellectual and social change during these centuries.
I have been one of the organizers of CHSTM PGR Lunch Seminars since 2023.
