Biography
Xinyue Dong is a PhD Student in Planning and Environmental Management at The University of Manchester since 2021 and is fully funded by the School of Environment, Education and Development Scholarship. Xinyue takes the role of Teaching Assistant in the Department. She earned her Master’s Degree in Planning (the University of Manchester) and her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design (Zhejiang University, China).
Xinyue’s research focuses on Neighbourhood Planning, community participation in planning, age-friendly, and urban regeneration. She is working on her PhD thesis on investigating how to meet older adults’ needs through promoting an age-friendly participation process and planning outcome in Neighbourhood Planning.
