Biography

Xiong Jin is a Senior Lecturer in Probability in the School of Mathematics. He obtained his Bachelor's (2005) and Master's (2008) degrees at Tsinghua University, and he obtained his Doctorate (2010) at the University of Paris-Sud Orsay. Then he held a Newton International Fellowship at the University of St Andrews for two year (2011-2012), followed by a Lecturer position at the same place before moving to Manchester. 

Research interests

I am most interested in multiplicative chaos theory and related topics, such as probability theory, dynamical systems, geometric measure theory/fractal geometry, statistical physics and spectral theory.
