Research interests

The effect of radiation is poorly understood with the extracellular matrix and its surroundings and how it leads to disease progression. Radiation can cause damage to cell structure and extracellular matrix (ECM), alter the protein's profile and can cause changes in its functionality but radiotherapy is widely used in breast cancer but it causes serious damage to its surrounding tissues and radiations are one of the main cause of skin cancer. The overall aim of my study is the effect of ionizing radiation on ECM and its surrounding cell and cell behaviour with the help of cell culture, advanced bioimaging, histology, and multi-omics techniques. It will lead us to understand the significant changes in cell morphology, behaviour and physiology which will help us administering radiotherapy dosage for therapeutic usage.
