1. Mechanistic investigation and new inhibitor design for antibiotic resistance-causing beta-lactamases (synthesis, structural biology (protein NMR and X-ray crystallography) , chemical biology, molecular biology)
2. Targeting sulfoglycolysis to tackle bacteria persistence (synthesis, NMR, structural biology, chemical biology, molecular biology, microbiology).
3. Mechanistic studies of DNA-repairing enzyme catalysis (Biochemistry, structural biology, NMR)
4. Designing activity-based probes and tools to quantitatively investigate sulfated glycans (synthesis, molecular biology, chemical biology)
5. Molecular and mechanistic insights on novel HAD superfamily phosphates in bacterial for industrial applications (biotechnology, structural biology, chemical biology)
