Overview

Yilong holds a PhD from the University of Manchester. His doctoral research looked at the representation of queerness in contemporary PRC (People's Republic of China) through the lens of queer Marxism and affect theory. He completed his BAH from Queen's University (Canada) in Art History and MA in Contemporary Art, Design, and New Media Art History from OCAD University.

He has previously taught both in Canada and the UK, including modules such as world cinema, introductory art history, the art of film, art in theory, and more. He has published with sextant (ULB) and has written for Bloomsbury Art Markets.
