Overview

Dr. Xu is Lecturer in Real Estate at the University of Manchester. She was an Assistant Professor at the Capital University of Economics and Business and a researcher at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, having completed her PhD at the University of Hong Kong.

Research interests

Sherry's reseach interests lie primarily in various fields of real estate economics and finance, for example, Chinese Urban Economics, Land Economics, Real Estate Investment and Finance, Housing Market Bubbles, Market Efficiency and Expectations, Term-Structure of Interest, Sustainability of Urban Development.
She has expertise in time-series, panel and cross-sectional econometrics, the design of financial modelling, property valuation, and invesmtnet appraisal.
