Personal profile
Overview
I am a fully funded PhD researcher at the University of Manchester in the School of Social Sciences, Department of Sociology.
My doctoral project explores the intersections between welfare, family, and migration in later life. Focusing on the older Chinese community in the UK, my research examines how welfare-state policies, private financial strategies for old age, and intergenerational relations and transfers interact with migration and settlement histories. Through this study, I aim to contribute to broader sociological debates on ageing, transnational family dynamics, and financial security in the context of migration.
