Overview

Greetings, and welcome to my page!

I am a PhD student in Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy (STIP) at Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), within the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIOIR). I previously earned a Master’s degree in Economics (2025) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (2022) from School of Economics, Jilin University, China.

My academic trajectory began with a focus on theoretical economics, where my undergraduate research explored issues of data ownership. During my Master’s studies, I developed a interest in innovation economics, investigating topics such as corporate financialization and 'innovation bubbles'. Following this working paper, I examined how China’s Marketing Authorization Holder (MAH) reform influences biopharmaceutical innovation, and later conducted research on how geopolitical tensions reshape innovation performance and strategies of multinational enterprises (MNEs).

Currently, my research interests lie at the intersection of innovation and sustainability. Building on this foundation, I have proposed my PhD research on sustainability-oriented artificial intelligence (AI) innovation.

Proposed research for PhD study:

Sustainability-Oriented AI Innovation: The Emergence and Its Effects on Green Innovation under the Sustainability Transition Pressure
