Overview

I am Lecturer in Chinese Translation Studies. Before joining UoM in 2021, I had taught translation for eight years at Lingnan University of Hong Kong, where I also served as the Chinese and Translation Editor in 2020-21. In 2018-21, I was Vice President of the Hong Kong Translation Society. 

Currently, I am writing a book on Chinese translation pedagogy, which will be published by Routledge (contract signed). In addition to academic works, I publish short articles about translation and language in general on my personal website: Fans of Translation.

Memberships of committees and professional bodies

I am a Steering Committee Member of the East Asian Translation Pedagogy Advance, UK, where I play an active role in its online lecture series and Resource Bank for translation colleagues around the globe. I am also a Member and Chartered Linguist of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, UK.
