Biography

I'm a current PhD student in Development Policy and Management with the Global Development Institute (GDI) at the University of Manchester since 2021. My research focuses on human resource management, expatriate management, repatriation and career development, and the construction industry in Africa. I'm currently working on my PhD thesis exploring expatriate management in Chinese MNEs in Africa in the construction sector.

I have also undertaken roles as Teaching Assitant for postgraduate courses including, Human Resource Practices 2, Managing Quality in Development, Organisational Development, and Human Resource Planning and Development.

Before doing my PhD, I worked as a human resource manager for a Chinese state-owned company in a wide range of African countries including, Ghana, Liberia, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, and Nigeria for 5 years. I speak Mandarin, English, and French.
