After finishing MSc Social Research Methods and Statistics at The University of Manchester in 2019, Zeming started his PhD study, with a particular focus on the issue of survey breakoff/dropout (i.e. respondents access the survey quesitonnaire but do not complete it).
In his PhD, he approached the survey breakoff issue from three stages: (1) during the survey design: understand factors impacting survey breakoffs, (2) while the survey is ongoing: predict survey breakoffs using machine learning models, and (3) post survey data collection: compensate for the breakoff-induced missing data.
After submitting his PhD thesis in 2022, Zeming joined the Methods team of Kantar Public UK where he worked as Research Methods Scientist, tackling different survey methodology challenges, such as survey design, response maximisation, and weighting.
