Clinical Senior Lecturer in Dermatology and Pharmacoepidemiology
Dr Zenas Yiu is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Dermatology and Pharmacoepidemiology.
His research interests lie in Pharmacoepidemiology and Evidence-Based Dermatology, and he takes a particular interest in the evaluation of the safety and effectiveness of novel therapeutics for chronic inflammatory skin conditions. He was heavily involved in the systematic review process underpinning the recommendations in the British Association of Dermatologists’ guidelines for biological therapy for Psoriasis 2017 and the update in 2020, and currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Evidence-Based Dermatology section in the British Journal of Dermatology.
In 2015, he was awarded a NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship to pursue his doctorate degree investigating the risk of serious infection in patients with psoriasis on biologic therapies at the University of Manchester. He was awarded the Royal Society of Medicine Dermatology Trainee Research Prize in 2018, and the Royal College of Physicians Turner-Warwick Lectureship for the North West region in 2019 for his doctorate research.
