International doctoral students, especially those who are the first from their families to study abroad and pursue graduate studies, have to navigate multiple hidden academic curriculums to cultivate personal and professional well-being. As international doctoral students with a mission to support others in navigating their international doctoral experiences,
I want to use Global Scholars Fund to build up a network called “Global PhD students Network in International Higher Education.”. Additionally, we are built upon the established Research with International Students organisation, an international collaboration between researchers and stakeholders who focus on the experiences of international students; we seek to create an emerging scholars subdivision to focus on global PhD students.
