The Challenging Engineering programme is designed to identify and support individuals with the potential to become future leaders of engineering research, with the ambition of building a team around them to deliver their research vision. The awards support challenging research programmes, with a focus on developing a research group, over the course of a five year period. Awards are up to £1 million each.
