Rosetrees Trust Enterprise Fellowships is a prestigious fellowship specifically aimed at supporting recently qualified postdoctoral researchers primarily in the fields of engineering, computer science, maths and physics who wish to develop a long-term programme of biomedical research. My funded research project, entitled "Engineering the next generation of hybrid 3D scaffolds for large scale bone tissue regeneration", aims to address a critical clinical problem - the regeneration of large scale bone defect, through the design, fabrication and evaluation of the next generation scaffolds, which is the combination of additive manufacturing technology, biomaterials and tissue engineering. Ultimately, with positive results lead to future clinical research, creating corresponding academic, social and economic impacts.
