The Vilhelm Bjerknes Medal was established by the Atmospheric Sciences Division of the EGU for distinguished research in atmospheric sciences.. It was awarded to Prof Coe for pioneering the science of atmospheric composition through instrument development and fine particle measurements, to study their impact on air quality, clouds and climate.
