Project Details

Description

Established in 2009 at The University of Manchester, the Dementia and Ageing Research Team (DART) has a goal to conduct research into the everyday experience of people living with dementia and their care partners and find ways to engage those perspectives in transforming, shaping and leading our work.

DART has three intersecting themes: Family networks; Transitions; User Involvement. Membership of the DART is interdisciplinary and includes people living with dementia as part of its make-up.

DART holds regular team and knowledge-exchange meetings to discuss various aspects of its work together, as well as the innovation in social research methods used to underpin its studies, including that of its PhD students.
