Psychological autopsy study of suicide by people in contact with mental health services

Description

In this psychological autopsy study we examined the details of contact with GPs and at Emergency Departments, including recent life events, in the year prior to suicide in a sample of people who had contact with mental health services.

The study was commissioned by the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) and concluded in March 2007.

Two research papers have been published on the findings from this study.
