    Abstract

    α-Alkoxystannanes undergo oxidation upon treatment with cerium ammonium nitrate generating oxonium ions, which can be trapped in an intramolecular fashion affording furo[2,3-b]pyrans. © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
