Abstract
The objective of this research is to highlight the relationship between immigrants and the health services in Greece and the problems they have to face when they come in contact with them. The research involved eleven (11) participants, men and women of various nationalities with a length of stay in Greece from two (2) to eleven (11) years. The research was based on qualitative content analysis. Analysis of the results revealed four factors that hinder access and degrade the quality of health services for migrants. These factors are linguistic competence, awareness and familiarity with the way the health care system works, existence of health insurance and fear of discriminatory behavior.
