هل هناك نسوية سعودية؟

دخلت المرأة السعودية معترك الكتابة والتعامل باللغة منذ قرابة نصف قرن من خلال الكتابة الإبداعية أو الصحفية. وتعتبر الكتابة هي المعبّر الرئيس عن أي فكر نسوي والقناة التي من خلالها تُطرح أفكارها.

وخلال هذه الفترة طرأت تحولات كبيرة على المجتمع السعودي سياسياً واقتصادياً ودينياً واجتماعياً انعكست بكل أبعادها على الخطاب الثقافي للمرأة. وبتتبعنا للكتابة النسوية نجد أن هناك تنوعاً كبيراً في التعبير ما بين النسوية والنسائية.

وفي هذه الورقة فإنني سوف أسعى إلى رصد أبعاد التنوع في الخطاب النسوي، والمنطلقات التي تحدده والتحولات التي مر بها وفق المراحل التي عبرها هذا الخطاب منذ بدأ تعليم المرأة النظامي مروراً بفترة الطفرة النفطية والتحولات الدينية وحرب الخليج حتى مرحلة ما بعد 11 سبتمبر، إلى أن وصلنا في صورته الحالية. وإلى أي درجة كانت النسوية حاضرة في الخطاب العام أو الخاص، وما هو الموقف الاجتماعي منها؟

سوف تسعى الورقة إلى البحث عن إجابة ما إذا كانت هناك نسوية سعودية بالدرجة الأولى ومن ثم إن كانت الإجابة بنعم فما شكلها ودوافعها وطرق تعبيرها ومدى استقلاليتها أو تبعيتها ودورها في بناء المرأة السعودية.

Saudi women have been engaged in writing and language for nearly half a century, through creative writing and journalism. Writing is considered the primary expression of feminist thought and the channel through which these ideas are presented.

During this period, major transformations have taken place in Saudi society—politically, economically, religiously, and socially—that have had a profound impact on women's cultural discourse. By tracing feminist writing, we find a great diversity of expression between feminist and feminist discourses.

In this paper, I will seek to examine the dimensions of diversity in feminist discourse, the premises that define it, and the transformations it has undergone, based on the stages it has passed through, from the beginning of formal women's education through the oil boom, religious transformations, and the Gulf War, to the post-September 11 period, until it reached its current form (2009). To what extent has feminism been present in public and private discourse, and what is the social position towards it?

This paper will seek to answer whether there is a Saudi feminism in the first place, and then, if the answer is yes, what is its form, motivations, methods of expression, the extent of its independence or subordination, and its role in shaping Saudi women of today.
