2nd international congress on physical activity and public health

The second International Congress on Physical Activity and Public Health (ICPAPH) was held at VU University (Free University), Amsterdam in April 2008. The main programme ran for two and a half days and was based around the central theme Beyond the barriers: cutting edge approaches to physical activity and public health. The programme was extensive and attracted a global audience of over 600 academics and health professionals dedicated to work in the physical activity field. The programme included five keynote lectures and 23 parallel symposia, in addition to 19 free paper sessions and a number of poster sessions. There was also a series of pre‐congress workshops on economic evaluation of health promotion as well as multilevel and mediation analysis techniques.
