Abstract

Electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) technology has been developed to provide 2D images of a cross section of industrial processes. For some applications, e.g. to investigate gas/solids distribution in circulating fluidised beds (CFBs), 3D presentation of images provide valuable information. This paper presents a data processing method, using Visual C++ Open-GL, to present 3D images, based on 2D images obtained from an ECT system. Experimental results are given.
