Abstract
The aim of the study is to compare the dose distribution calculated by the computerized treatment planning system "Cadplan" (Varian) with the distribution measured in the automatic radiation field analyzer by PTW Frieburg for high-energy radiation.
Cadplan is a three-dimensional planning system. Performs calculations of dose distributions based on a database, which includes, among others percentage of dose at depth (PDG), profiles of radiation beams at selected depths and coefficients related to the field size.
The comparison was made for photon beams and electrons generated by the Clinac 2300 linear accelerator for all energies currently used at the Institute of Oncology in Gliwice.
