Abstract
The crystal structure of magnesium-bis(diaryldiketiminate) Mg(II) 2 complex, first reported group 2 complex containing ligand(II) was studied. Mg(II)2 is isomorphous, isostructural and isotypic with its zinc analogue. The coordination geometry about the Mg atom is dostorted tetrahedral with the metal lying out of the ligand plane. The ligands adopted a locak and approximate non-crystallographic Cs symmetry.
