Abstract
We present new accurate packet error rate analysis of unslotted direct sequence spread spectrum packet communication systems in slow Rayleigh fading environments. Based on the accurate Improved Gaussian Approximation, we introduce a new technique that leads to accurate and efficiently computable expressions for packet error rates that account for bit-to-bit error dependence. These new results facilitate accurate computation of the throughput performance of CDMA-based Unslotted ALOHA local radio networks. © 2006 IEEE.
