Abstract

There is a knowledge gap in the application of the Project Management process, tools and techniques required to accelerate the delivery and exploitation of technical Research and Development (R&D) projects. Through a systematic literature review of 237 articles from notable academic databases, this paper identifies two thematic areas and highlights areas of focus for future related research directions. The work presented here contributes to the development of academic discussions on the management and delivery of technical and innovation R&D projects.
