Abstract
This paper presents a new accurate error rate analysis of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing signals in the presence multipath frequency-selective Nakagami-m fading. In contrast to previous research, we focus on the effects of the nonuniform phase distribution on the error rate performance. A new closed-form expression is derived for the moment generating function (MGF) of the frequency-domain channel gain. Classical MGF methods can then be straightforwardly employed to obtain accurate error rates for different modulation and diversity formats. ©2010 IEEE.
