Abstract
Supergene manganese ores are currently mined closed to Kato Nevrokopi, in the northwest of the Drama region of northern Greece. These ores have developed by the weathering of vein sulphide mineralization that contains rhodochrosite and todorokite. In the present note an age is reported for the hydrothermal mineralization in northeast Drama and related to the magmatic activity and mineralizing events in adjacent areas.
