Abstract

This trail for the app 'Alight: Art and the Sacred' guides the user from one of the historic gates of the city of Chichester to the Cathedral at its heart. Inside the Cathedral, the trail offers twelve audio reflections on works of art in the Cathedral.

My role included commissioning, recording and editing nine of the audio reflections; writing and presenting two of the audio reflections (on Cecil Collins' 'Icon of the Divine Light' and Ursula Benker-Schirmer's Anglo-German Tapestry); providing research assistance on the history of Chichester for the walking tracks.

The rest of the project team was Ben Quash (KCL), Jo Reid (Calvium) and Lewis Gibson (sound designer).
