Abstract
App. for the detn. of a chem. or biochem. species comprises a resonant optical sensor disposed in a light path between a polychromic light source and a detector. The sensor is irradiated with light from the light source at a range of angled simultaneously, and light reflected from the sensor is allowed to reach the detector only when resonance occurs. The intensity of the polychromatic light from the light source is modulated as a function of frequency, preferably periodically. [on SciFinder (R)]
