Abstract

Compartment syndrome is a collection of symptoms that signal increased pressure in the muscle compartment and results in compromised tissue perfusion. Failure to diagnose and treat the condition can result in permanent neurovascular deficit, tissue ischaemia, limb amputation and rhabdomyolysis.
