Abstract
This article analyzes a research experience in pediatric hospital in Rio de Janeiro, which aimed to identify management strategies for mid-level professionals from the micropolitics of living work. We used a qualitative methodology of participant research. Gender issues arose in the construction of the data in discourses and practices of professionals in the administrative area, and we take these work processes and care service analyzers. Gender constructions produce different manners of living, experiencing and operating the reality. Thus, we found that health professionals have restricted users to the maternal role, and identified themselves in the service according to the socially established gender patterns. We conclude that it is necessary to give visibility to administrative area practices of health services therefore is a care and subject producer - users and workers
