Abstract

Objective: This study was carried out to determine the attitude of cleft care specialists working in Africa towards pre surgical orthopedics . Method: Self –administered questionaires were distributed to Cleft care specialists working in Africa to determine their attitude towards pre surgical orthopedics. Results: The general attitude towards pre surgical orthopedics was positive. Majority of the specialists employ pre surgical orthopedics before surgical repair. Fifty four (91%) of the specialists use plaster strapping for cases of bilateral cleft ,5(7%) use Naso alveola molding and 1(2% ) use feeding plate.
