Abstract
The overall biosynthesis of the large macrolide oligomycin A from a sequence of acetate, propionate and butyrate units, demonstrated by the specific incorporation of [1-13C]-labelled precursors, is in accord with the known structure, and the indirect incorporations from propionate and butyrate are very low. © 1986.
