    Abstract

A report on the cell-responsive synthetic hydrogels was presented. Polymer networks in situ was formed using conjugate addition reactions. Molecular building blocks performing either structural poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) or biological function. PEG-based macromers was selected as the main structural component due to their hydrophilicity and resistance to protein adsorption.
