    Abstract

The fabrication of optical chalcogenide glass thin films through inverted deposition and high velocity spinning is presented. Good quality films up to 275 μm thick of this infrared transmitting material, with propagation loss of 0.3 dB cm-1 at 1.064 μm, were engineered using this technique.
