Abstract
• Aim: To evaluate the clinical application of confocal microscope in the etiology of corneal ulcer diagnosis. • Methods: Use confocal microscopy to check 36 patients suffered from corneal ulcer and the results were analyzed and compared. • Results: Thirty-six patients, 16 cases (16 eyes) observed mycelium, which showed relatively dark image in the background of the bright linear form, in the corneal stroma. 2 cases(2 eyes) observed abacha cysts presented as white flash circular bodys in the matrix layer in shallow. • Conclusion: As a rapid non-invasive diagnostic tool, confocal microscope plays an important role in the etiological diagnosis of corneal ulcer clinical application with significant advantages, and also has great potential in the study of pathological features of the disease.
