Abstract

The short term clinical performance of toric rigid lenses having aspheric geometry was assessed. A total of 21 eyes from 15 patients were fitted empirically in random order with (a) an aspheric-based toric lens manufactured by means of the novel process and (b) the equivalent spherically-based toric lens manufacturing using conventional methods. Results suggest that the two lenses perform similarly in terms of lens fitting.
