Abstract
This literature review provides a comprehensive analysis of the utilization of heterogeneous nucleation in the 3D printing of crystalline polymeric biomaterials for tissue engineering applications. The objective is to explore the theoretical background and propose a methodology for identifying potential nucleation particles specific to different polymeric materials. Understanding and controlling nucleation processes are crucial for achieving desired crystal structures and optimizing the mechanical and biological properties of printed scaffolds.
