Abstract

This document presents sensitivity analyses carried out to determine the optimal size, location and operation of capacitor banks for the HV network Bolton by Bowland with improved load profiles. The performance of capacitor banks in the real network with proposed (recommended) control settings is also analysed to assess the benefits of capacitor banks.
