    Abstract

A boy is reported with congenital absence of the sterno costal head of the left pectoralis major muscle, with ipsilateral hypoplasia of the arm, forearm and hand and short fingers. In the absence of syndactyly, the diagnosis of the Poland anomaly is supported by characteristic abnormalities of the palmar dermatoglyphs.
