    A clinical and mycological evaluation of the effectiveness of bifonazole gel was undertaken in general practice, the preparation being applied once daily for either 2 or 3 weeks with a final assessment at 4 weeks. There were 38 mycologically proven cases of tinea infection, 25 of tinea pedis and 13 of tinea cruris. A further 82 clinical cases were included to assess the acceptability of the gel, but were not included in the analysis of the results.
