    Abstract

    Good design is a pre-requisite to the successful operation of plant in the process and manufacturing sectors of industry. This article defines the objectives of a design audit suitable for manufacturing and process facilities, and reviews experience of this design analysis exercise. It shows how a design audit may be carried out as an exercise fully integrated with the main design activities.
